A shortfilm about processing trauma, disguised through beautifully crafted environments
As a sucker for aesthetics, I wanted to elevate the look & feel of our final bachelor project work. My goal was simple - make the movie look good and the stories world stand out.
Approach
Create a colour palette full of meaning and beauty
giving each character visual and personal distinction
fill each set and frame with additional nuggets of life through careful selection of props & costumes
round everything off by filling the soundstage with a close to life, familiar and broad sound design
The final product is a warm, welcoming visual world that contrasts the characters internal downfall while bringing the world around her to life.
